Dependent visa is an authorization from a foreign country which allows the spouse and/or the child of a student to accompany him/her during studies in that foreign country. Eligibility to apply for this visa in order to join a holder of student visa is: a spouse of the student visa holder and/or a dependent child (unmarried, and younger than 18 years) of the student visa holder. Dependent visa provides a wonderful opportunity for the spouse of the student visa holder to experience the culture of a foreign nation. Accompanying children can also be fortunate to grow up in a different culture which would enhance their depth of knowledge. Usually the spouse is allowed to work full time while the student visa holder can continue his/her studies.
